Community Events

Angel Tree

Each year we participate with the Salvation Army Angel Tree as a part of our community service. This year there are over one thousand (1,000) children in need. Out of those children only 278 children have been adopted. If you would like to adopt an angel, volunteer or know someone who would like to partner with the Salvation Army please call us in the office (205) 425-5235. This is a great need in our community and your help will make ALL the difference to a family this holiday season!

Annual Mabel L. Chambers Backpack Giveaway

Many have called inquiring about the annual Mabel L. Chambers Backpack Giveaway. The family and staff of Chambers Funeral Home donated to: West Hills Elementary, Hard Elementary, Jonesboro Elementary, Abrams’ Elementary and Bessemer City Middle School. If your child or anyone you know is in need of a backpack they can speak directly with the counselors.
